Purpose of This Resource
California law makes much arrest and booking information public, but the source changes with the person’s custody status. The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office creates county jail booking records and maintains the roster. The Mendocino Superior Court holds the later case record. The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation provides CIRIS for people sentenced to state-prison custody. A Public Records Act request can reach records that are not displayed online, subject to lawful limits. This site organizes those official routes and practical lookup steps in one place. It does not copy the roster or publish booking photos.
Information Organized Here
The content is designed to separate records that are often confused:
- Official paths for recent arrests, the county jail roster, warrants, booking records, photographs, and California record-relief information.
- City-specific guidance for Ukiah, Fort Bragg, and Willits, including the correct police and county booking roles.
- Clear steps for checking the booking feed, using VINELink, and searching CDCR records for sentenced state prisoners.
- Instructions for making a focused booking-record or photograph request and understanding that an initial response time is not a production guarantee.
Limits of Our Role
Mendocino County Recent Arrests is privately operated. It is not connected with California, MCSO, the Mendocino County Jail, CDCR, a court, or any other government body.
- We cannot release, hold, or transfer a person in custody.
- We cannot post bail, arrange a visit, or send funds for anyone.
- We do not provide legal advice.
- We cannot promise that an address, fee, phone number, or agency procedure has not changed.
Only the responsible sheriff, jail, corrections department, police agency, or court can confirm current custody, charges, release, and official record details.
